Hotel Balmoral

THE BUILDING: The building is very nice. The lobby, reception, and breakfast area are elegant. There is some sort of wellness area upstairs, which I didn’t look into, but just outside there is a sundeck. There’s not much of a view from it, but it’s a nice area to sit outside for a while. LOCATION: It’s NOT in the historic center, which is what we were looking for. The hotel is in a peaceful, although active area away from drunk tourists and loud nightlife. Everything you want is within walking distance, including a few subway entrances (about a 5-minute walk). When you do want to go sightseeing, everything is an easy subway ride away. RECEPTION: Reception was easy and efficient. The lobby area has refreshments, newspapers, and seating areas for guests to enjoy. AIR CONDITIONING: The A/C worked great! THE ROOM: We had room 701 on this visit, which was very nice. We appreciated that there was in-room coffee and tea (although the coffee was instant). NOISE: The room was completely quiet — we could not hear traffic from the street or guests in other rooms. BREAKFAST: We don’t usually get the hotel breakfast in Spain because it is overpriced (with so many great, affordable options nearby), but this time the breakfast was included in our room rate. The breakfast was fantastic!!! There was American/British breakfast, Spanish breakfast, French items…. My wife and I were extremely pleased. PARKING: We did not use hotel parking so we can’t comment.

From first walking through the front door, the hotel staff couldn't have been any more welcoming than they were. The staff instantly made us feel at ease, checking us in to our room and explaining all the facilities that were available in the hotel and meal times etc. The rooms were large and impeccably clean and the food offered at the hotel was fantastic with so much fresh choice on offer. I also liked the fact of how attentive the reception staff were when I explained that my luggage had been left at Manchester airport and could they contact me once it had arrived at the hotel. It was just exceptional service from the minute we arrived until we left 3 days letter. Would I revisit Hotel Balmoral, most definitely. Would I recommend Hotel Balmoral, most definitely. Thank you for having us and for a most wonderful stay at your beautiful hotel.

My stay there will remain unforgettable! The room was as expected and with many amenities. The staff was amazing and very willing to help us with everything we needed. The cleaning service was top of its kind as everyday we felt we entered in the room for the first time (it was really clean!) and they could judge what was really trash and what might be needed. So I would really like to thank them for their service and I would totally recommend the hotel as it is also super close to everything!

Very professional staff, good room service, good breakfast, excellent location. There is nothing negative about this hotel.

The hotel was smart, clean, in a decent location just off Diagonal. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Room was good size, modern and well equipped.
